Feb. 2 - Lehi 53, Provo 51

Story of the game: William Walker scored 18 points, and Zach
Stanley hit two free throws late in the game, and that was the
difference as Lehi handed Provo its first Region 7 loss.

Lehi's best moment: The Pioneers rallied in the second half and
cut the margin to two points going into the fourth period. Josh Scott
had a big game with 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Provo's best moment: Provo controlled the first half and had a
27-20 lead at intermission. Kyle Collinsworth a one-man show
with 31 points, including four three-pointers. Provo had a chance to
tie - or win - the game late, but couldn't convert.

Statistical notes: Provo shot just 1-6 from the free-throw line, and
Collinsworth missed most of them. Lehi wasn't much better at 2-8.

What we learned from this game: The two teams split the season
series, with each winning a two-point game on the other's home
court. Lehi is back in the Region 7 race and the title is up for grabs.

points and Josh Scott had 21as Lehi downed Orem for its second
straight Region 7 victory.

Lehi's best moment: The Pioneers trailed 13-11 after the first

Orem was 11-15. Orem made four three-pointers, while Lehi had
three.

What we learned from this game: The Pioneers have won two

dominated the third quarter to build a 24-point lead. Ryan
Christofferson added nine points.

12 points, and hit the go-ahead basket in overtime, as Timpview
held off Lehi in a Region 7 game.

Lehi's best moment: The Pioneers trailed almost the entire game,
but rallied in the fourth quarter behind William Walker, who had 20
points and 15 rebounds. Zach Stanley made two three-pointers,
including one to tie the game and send it into overtime.

Timpview's best moment: Warner had a chance to win the game
in regulation, but missed a free throw. Ryan Sagers and Christian
Covey had 11 points and Colby Jorgensen added 10.

Statistical notes: Lehi lost this game at the free-throw line, where
it made just 3-of-14 shots. Lehi outrebounded Timpview 32-21.

Lehi in the Region 7 opener for both teams.

Lehi's best moment: The Pioneers trailed 36-25 at halftime, but
lifted the home crowd's excitement with a big rally. Will Walker's
basket and free throw with 55 seconds left tied the game and set
up the exciting end.

Provo's best moment: The Bulldogs took the early lead, hitting five
three-pointers in the first quarter. Collinsworth led Provo with 20
points. At the end, he calmly took control of the ball. He made the
basket, and also was fouled on the play.

Statistical notes: Collinsworth added 10 rebounds and nine
assists to his scoring total. Walker had 23 points for Lehi, and
Josh Scott added 10 points and 14 rebounds. Keith Moore had 12
points and Ryan Durrant 11 for Provo.

What we learned from this game: This was one of the best
games of the season, and it's a shame it couldn't have been
played at the end of the schedule.

Richard Olsen had 10 points apiece.

Statistical notes: Both teams shot well from the free-throw line.
Granger made six three-pointers, while Lehi had four. Zach Stanley
and Jordan McGregor had eight points each for Lehi.

What we learned from this game: This was a winnable game for
Granger, and would have been one of its biggest wins of the
season.

Dec. 30 - Lehi 88, Maple Mtn. 45

11 different players scored.

Maple Mtn.'s best moment: The Golden Eagles got their offense
going a bit after the first quarter. Cameron Starr was the top scorer
with 12 points. Colton Starr had seven points, including a pair of
three-pointers.

Statistical notes: Lehi connected on 26-29 free throws; Maple
Mountain was 16-25. The Eagles also emptied their bench.

What we learned from this game: This was more like a
scrimmage for Lehi, which seems to have far more talent.

Dec. 22 - Lehi 66, Skyline 47

Story of the game: William Walker and Zach Stanley scored 17
points each as Lehi scored the game's first 18 points and went on
to beat Skyline in a non-region game.

Lehi's best moment: The Pioneers owned the first quarter. Walker
and Stanley were joined by Josh Scott (16 points), they combined
for 50 points. Stanley hit four three-pointers and Lehi was really
never threatened.

Skyline's best moment: The Eagles rallied behind Jaden
Jackson, who had 17 points, and Skyline nailed a season-high
eight three-pointer in a rally attempt. James Tingey added nine
points.

Statistical notes: Skyline is 1-3 in home games, but the schedule
(opponents) may have helped dictate that. The preseason
schedule is a killer. The Eagles outscored Lehi 39-33 in the
second half, but they trailed by 25 at halftime.

What we learned from this game: This was as dominating of an
effort Lehi will have this season. The Pioneers held Skyline
scoreless for at least eight minutes. The offense had a
season-high total, but the defense won this game.

himself, scoring 26 points, including the tying and game-winning
baskets as Lone Peak edged Lehi in a non-region game and
stayed unbeaten.

Lehi's best moment: The game was close throughout, and
became a defensive battle in the final quarter. William Walker was
the Pioneers' top scorer with 12 points. Zach Stanley had 11
points, including three treys. He had a chance to tie the game in
the final seconds, but missed a tough shot.

just 4-6. Both teams had six three-point baskets.

other close games.

and bounced Kearns in a non-region game.

Lehi's best moment: The Pioneers dominated the game inside
and outscored Kearns 16-4 in the third quarter. After that, they were
able to empty their bench. Ryan Christofferson chipped in with 11
points.

Kearns' best moment: The Cougars played tough in the opening
half, and only trailed 29-23. Dalton Noble was the top scorer with

Dec. 8 - Lehi 41, Springville 38

Story of the game: Josh Scott scored 19 points and hauled in 13
rebounds as Lehi held off Springville, despite a big effort by the
Red Devils' Raul Delgado.

Lehi's best moment: The game was tied going into the final
quarter, but Scott and William Walker helped give Lehi a
seven-point lead. The Pioneers made just 1-7 free throws down
the stretch, but hung on. Walker finished with 13 points.

Springville's best moment: Delgado finished with 22 points, and
hit a tough three-pointer to narrow the gap to three points late in
the game. After Lehi missed a pair of free throws, Delgado missed
a long-range bomb at the buzzer.

Statistical notes: Both teams shot 50 percent from the free-throw
line. Springville's 38 points was a season low - to date. Only five
players scored for each team.

Dec. 1 - Lehi 55, Juan Diego 48

Story of the game: Zach Stanley led a balanced scoring attack with
15 points as Lehi opened its basketball season by taking an early
lead and holding off Juan Diego in a non-region game.

Lehi's best moment: The Pioneers developed a nice
inside-outside scoring threat, as center William Walker added 14
points and Ryan Christofferson had 11. Lehi nailed five treys and
shot decently from the free-throw line to hang on to the win.

Juan Diego's best moment: After falling behind 19-12, the Soaring

Statistical notes: Lehi was 10-15 from the FT line; Juan Diego
was 7-9. Walker played a key role in the fourth quarter. He also led
the team in rebounding.

What we learned from this game: Juan Diego showed some
athleticism in this game, especially Pizza, who caused Lehi fits in
the first half. In the end, though, Walker made the difference.

Nov. 25 - Lehi 59, Pleasant Grove 48

Story of the game: William Walker led a balanced scoring attack
with 20 points as Lehi turned back Pleasant Grove in the season
opener for both teams at UVU.

Lehi's best moment: The Pioneers grabbed a small early and
slowly extended it throughout the game. The final quarter was
hurried, but Lehi hung on. Josh Scott and Ryan Christofferson
added 10 points apiece.

Pleasant Grove's best moment: Joe Kruger led the Vikings with
12 points, but it was Cory McAllister's outside shooting that fueled
Pleasant Grove's rally. He finished with 11 points, including three
treys. This might have been the best game at UVU's tourney.

Statistical notes: Lehi was 17-26 from the free-throw line.
Pleasant Grove was 9-15. Brady Hoglund and Sefa Tanoai each
had 10 points for Pleasant Grove. Lehi led 23-16 at halftime.

What we learned from this game: This was a good matchup to
